Hello Garmin community, I recently bought a Fenix 7 sapphire solar cobalt blue (v10.44) and the first time I went paddle surfing, I’ve got undesirables symptoms:-long press on buttons not working-vibrate without reasons-tempest alarm raised-pressing on lock buttons result on lock and instantly unlock-hard reset do not help Poor quality, especially with the buttons, is totally normal for Garmin. It may be that you have to exchange your watch 4 times before you get one without defects. Vizi 4 months ago in reply to Bumskopf +1 Just replace the button I think is difficult, but it is not difficult to replace the lower case kit. I have a Garmin Fenix 5x and the temperature, altimeter and barometer sensors didn't work for me, I ordered the lower case via ebay and I personally replaced everything myself. Now everything is working properly. Fenix 5 7 iOS 11 solution (1) On Fenix 5 - Hold down Light button (1), goto controls menu - Power off - Power on - Hold down (1), goto controls menu - select green phone icon to disconnect from phone (2) On iPhone, Garmin connect - Delete Phenix 5 device - click on + to add new device - Select Fenix 5 (3) On Penix 5 - Hold down Up Menu (5 Start/stop button behaviour. On my recently purchased fenix 6pro the start/stop button has different feedback than the other buttons. It can be pressed down with 2 stops where the first one does not initiate anything. For pressing it further down one needs to apply more force than for pressing the other buttons, and it has a more audible Power the device on while holding these buttons. After the first beep release the Start button. After the second beep release the remaining buttons. I should add that my watch was STOCK - and has been since the first few days I got it (almost 2 years ago). I do not use any apps from the store and I was using one of the stock "dial" faces. Hard reset / factory reset: Turn OFF the Fenix. Press and HOLD LAP button. Power on (still holding the LAP button) You will get the menu “Clean user data: Yes/No?” release LAP button. Choose yes. and. Hold LIGHT for at least 25 seconds, till the screen goes dark. Hold LIGHT for one second to turn on your device. Hot keys to the rescue. The Garmin Fenix 3 HR lets you assign certain functions to its physical buttons. This works for pressing and holding of the Start and Down keys, with a possible function 2. With the Back/Lap button still held down, press the Power / Light button to power on the watch. 3. Continue holding the Back/Lap button until you see 'Restore Default Settings' on the watch Fge7Y.
